COEN’S SCIENCE CASES
As a Research Scientist at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, I developed analytical chemistry methods by using gas-liquid chromatography; and as a Senior Research Scientist at the Iscor Research laboratory, I did research on the use of a wide variety of electrochemical methods in chemical analysis. I eventually selected Cathode-Ray Polarography for doing research for my M.Sc. degree thesis (a thesis that I completed).
I have in the past caused quite a stir by successfully attacking the technical evidence in court matters in which I acted as an attorney. I am therefore quite capable of exposing fraudulent data and airtime evidence.
The following are some examples of technical, medical and scientific evidence that I demolished in court and that caused me to be victorious in the particular cases:
(i) The blood analysis in a drunken driving case
(ii) The analytical chemist’s evidence in a “drug” case
(iii) The medical evidence in a culpable homicide case
(iv) Beating a speeding charge (or “Skop die Gatsometer se gat”)
(v) Beating the Electromatic loops in a speeding case
(vi) Taking the haunt out of the Ghost cars
